Quality Inspector
Belfast | 6 Month Contract
OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has opened within an Aerospace Manufacturing company for a skilled and proactive Quality Inspector based at their Belfast facility.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our production standards, driving rigorous quality control and quality assurance functions. You will ensure that every product leaving the floor is fully compliant with detailed design specifications, customer expectations, and strict approving authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities- Inspection & Assurance: Carry out day-to-day precision inspection, Quality Control (QC), and Quality Assurance (QA) functions across manufacturing and assembly phases.
- Compliance: Safeguard product integrity by verifying absolute compliance with engineering drawings, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Team Guidance: Provide clear technical instructions, feedback, and quality advice to operators on the shop floor as required.
- Oversight: Monitor and support the facility’s Delegated Operator Scheme to maintain high standard compliance across production teams.
- Problem Solving & Reporting: Identify drawing, process, or tooling anomalies. Compile clear, accurate technical reports to trigger internal engineering investigations and corrective actions.
- Collaboration: Work flexibly and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to support tight production deadlines.
Essential Criteria
- Apprenticeship: Must have completed a fully recognized mechanical or electrical apprenticeship.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ relevant post-apprenticeship experience operating within an electrical aerospace environment, or a precision manufacturing/assembly/tooling environment.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong familiarity with modern quality control requirements and the proven ability to accurately interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. - Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the professional credibility to advise operators and write concise technical non-conformance reports.
- Industry Knowledge: A demonstrable understanding of standard company manufacturing, assembly, and quality safety practices.
- An ONC, A-Levels, or equivalent technical qualifications.
- Practical knowledge or experience with 3D metrology equipment and software.
