Quality Assurance Engineer / Quality Assurance Manager (Hybrid working)

Role Overview

Join our Integrated Air Systems (IAS) team where you will support the quality assurance of major contracts and state‑of‑the‑art maritime solutions in an underwater environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of quality assurance on major contracts, supporting state‑of‑the‑art maritime solutions.
  • Plan and perform project audits and surveillance activities in accordance with Project Quality Plans and audit strategy.
  • Act as the customer’s representative inside the project or bid team, maximizing customer satisfaction and supporting actions.
  • Manage and analyze reports to continually improve quality, ensuring performance aligns with project time‑scales.
  • Encourage and develop best practice, promoting a quality culture and continuous improvement.
  • Generate monthly QA advice for allocated project and bid reviews according to guidance.
  • Lead project QA activities to ensure tasks comply with agreed work packages.
  • Effectively generate, assure, and manage non‑conformances with realistic stage target dates and actions agreed with NCR owners.
  • Raise alerts when appropriate with escalation to reduce business risks.
  • Support customer surveys and work with functions to establish improvement plans based on feedback.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Assurance Manager in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of current quality and related working practices and standards, preferably AS9100.
  • Qualified auditor or similar experience.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to promote quality within the wider operations team.
  • Experience working within a project structure and managing work packages (desirable).
  • Member of or working toward membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (desirable).
