We'relooking for a proactive and motivated
Filling Team Leader
to join our mushroom-growing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong team leadership skills, a keen eye for quality, and a passion for delivering high standards in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

As Filling Team Leader, you willbe responsible for leading a small team and operating filling machinery to ensure growing rooms are filled accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You'llplay a vital role inmaintainingproductivity, hygienestandardsand operational excellence across the business.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading and motivating a small team to deliver production targets and deadlines.
  • Operating filling machinery to fill growing tunnels with compost and casing soil to required specifications.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, foodsafetyand workmanship aremaintainedat all times.
  • Following and promoting safe working procedures, working plans and standard operating processes.
  • Carrying out hygiene tasks including floor washing, filter changes and general cleaning duties as required.
  • Maintaining clean working areas to prevent contamination and the spread of disease.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensuring filling quality standards are consistentlyachievedand work areas are left to a high standard.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience with mushroomsisn’tnecessary but welcomed.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Good understanding of machinery operation and production processes.
  • Confidence working with numbers and calculating compost fill weights.
  • Excellent team working and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and external contractors.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to work in a practical environment.
  • Working pattern:
    Tuesday - Friday 6am - 16:30pm (Flexibility needed)
