Bar and Waiting Person - The Doyen

Responsibilities

To provide a high standard of customer service in the serving of food and drink
To set up the bar counter and the food service area in the appropriate manner as per Company procedures
To meet and greet customers, take food and drink orders and liase with all relevant personnel in ensuring the delivery of these orders to the customer
To anticipate the needs of the customer and to ensure that the customer receives excellent customer service at all times
To ensure that the food service and bar service areas meets the Company standard regarding cleanliness, health and safety
To calculate the bills correctly and accept and verify various methods of payment
To refill bar stock levels and ensure efficient bar stock including stock rotation
To carry out end of shift duties according to Company procedures
To carry out toilet checks on a regular basis
To ensure that a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance is maintained at all times
Any other duties relevant and related to the post

Educational qualifications

Educated to secondary level standard

Skills and Experience

A minimum of 6 months previous bar service experience is essential
A minimum of 6 months previous food service experience is desirable
A working knowledge of Micros is desirable
The ideal candidate will be a team player, customer focused and enthusiastic, with the desire to ensure that our customers receive excellent service
With excellent communication skills, the ideal candidate will be able to approach their work in a methodical and logical manner
