Deli Assistant

Deli Assistant We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Deli Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will help provide excellent customer service while assisting with the daily operation of the deli.

Key Responsibilities Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner. Prepare and serve sandwiches, salads, cold meats, cheeses, and other deli products. Slice and package food products accurately and hygienically. Take customer orders and process payments. Keep the deli counter, equipment, and work areas clean and organised. Restock products and maintain attractive displays. Check product dates and follow food safety and hygiene procedures.

Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required. Follow company policies and health and safety requirements. Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods. Requirements Previous deli, food service, retail, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential. Friendly and approachable attitude. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.

Good attention to cleanliness and food hygiene. Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends where required.

What We Offer Flexible scheduling. Preferably needed for Monday to Friday - with odd weekend. Latest time working to is 3pm Training and support provided. Friendly team environment. Opportunities to develop retail and food-service skills.
