Shift Leader – Pay & Hours

: £15.59 an hour, with additional payments depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with flexible options of 12 to 16 hours.

Availability Window:

• Mon, Tue 06:00 – 15:00
• Thu, Fri 13:00 – 22:00
• Sat 08:00 – 16:00

Shifts are scheduled within these windows and you will receive 3 weeks notice of your shift dates.

• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Lead duty shifts, coordinating the team to keep the store clean, well‑stocked and exceeding customer expectations.
• Engage with customers, ensuring they leave satisfied.
• Identify opportunities to improve service, coach colleagues and provide feedback.
• Maintain a safe workplace for staff and shoppers.
• Track store performance and support managers with actions to improve operations.
• Set a strong example for the team.
• Coordinating the store team to deliver a fuss‑free shopping experience.
• Support daily priorities and ensure regular breaks.
• Open and close the store, completing duty cover and safety commitments.
• Act as deputy manager for day‑to‑day queries.
• Keep the team informed of communications, changes and updates.
• Apply health and safety procedures.

• Age 18 or over.
• Excellent customer service skills, comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication.
• Ability to lead and oversee the store in the manager’s absence.
• Good judgement, flexible thinking and decision‑making.
• Problem‑solving mindset, looking for improvement ideas.
• Team‑first attitude, motivating others.
