Role Overview
The Festival Stock & Keg Crew are responsible for ensuring all bars remain fully stocked throughout the event. This role involves receiving deliveries, transporting stock, changing kegs, maintaining store areas, and supporting the smooth operation of festival bars in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Transport stock, beverages, and supplies between storage areas and bar locations.
- Change beer, cider kegs and soft drink efficiently and safely.
- Maintain clean, organised storage areas.
- Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to minimise waste.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to supervisors.
- Assist with stock counts before, during, and after the event.
- Follow manual handling procedures when moving heavy stock and kegs.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Work closely with bar managers to meet service demands.
- Assist with event set-up, replenishment during trading, and breakdown after the festival.
- Carry out any additional duties reasonably requested by management.
- Previous experience in stock handling, warehouse, bar, hospitality, or event work is desirable.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving full kegs and heavy stock safely.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure.
- Flexible approach to working long shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
- Manual Handling Training.
- Previous festival or large event experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence (Non essentials).
- Forklift, pallet truck or telehandler experience (where applicable).
- Frequent lifting and carrying of stock and kegs (up to 25–60 kg using safe manual handling techniques).
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
