The Role

As an SDR, you ll report into an SDR Lead as part of a team. You ll be the front line of Cloudsmith s sales efforts, responsible for identifying and engaging with prospective customers. You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to create a robust pipeline and ensure the success of our sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Outreach:
    Identify and research prospective mid-market and enterprise accounts; initiate and manage outbound communication through email, phone calls and social media; build and nurture strong relationships with prospects.
  • Qualifying Leads:
    Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects  pain points and challenges; qualify leads by evaluating their fit for Cloudsmith s solutions and schedule meetings for Account Executives.
  • Collaboration:

    Partner with the SDR Team Lead and Marketing to ensure alignment on strategies and campaigns; share insights from prospect interactions to refine outreach and content strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Participate in training sessions and coaching to refine techniques and product knowledge; stay informed on Cloudsmith s offerings, industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Reporting and CRM Management:
    Keep accurate records of prospect interactions in the CRM (Hub Spot & Salesforce); track activities and outcomes, contributing to team performance analytics.
Required Experience, Qualities & Skills

Technical Expertise:

  • Proven experience in sales within the IT sector; ideally sold or prospected software, cloud, or Dev Ops solutions.
  • 1–2 years sales/prospecting experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales prospecting tools and web-based conferencing systems (Slack, Hub Spot, , Intercom and Zoom).
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals with a solid track record.
  • Familiarity with sales strategies like email sequences, cold calling and social selling.

Skills:

  • Tech-Savvy:
    Comfortable engaging with technical buyers and understanding Dev Ops, cloud, or CI/CD processes.
  • Curious and Coachable:
    Eager to learn, adapt to feedback and grow within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Communicator:
    Clear and professional in verbal and written communication.
