VANRATH is partnering with a fast‑growing organisation within the renewable energy sector in Northern Ireland. The company seeks a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support growth across Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging projects.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across renewable energy solutions including Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging technologies.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers across residential and commercial markets.
- Manage a combination of existing opportunities and self‑generated leads to maximise sales growth.
- Conduct customer meetings, site assessments and discovery sessions to understand client requirements.
- Produce tailored commercial proposals, quotations and solution recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales through to project implementation and completion.
- Represent the business at industry exhibitions, networking events and other market engagement activities.
- Monitor industry developments, competitor activity and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities.
- Maintain a consultative approach throughout the customer journey, ensuring a high standard of service and client satisfaction.
- Proven experience in business development, sales management, account management or a customer‑facing commercial role.
- Background within renewable energy, electrical services or a related technical industry.
- Strong ability to identify market opportunities and convert prospects into long‑term clients.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Self‑motivated and capable of managing a regional territory with minimal supervision.
- Genuine interest in sustainability, renewable technologies and the transition to cleaner energy solutions.
- Full UK driving licence.
Basic salary: £45,000. Realistic OTE: £70,000 – £80,000+. Uncapped commission scheme. Company electric vehicle. Comprehensive benefits package. Monday to Friday working pattern.
