This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background, practical farming experience, and the ability to accurately measure, price, and advise on technical agricultural installations. Their work combines mechanical engineering, agricultural expertise, and modern control technology to deliver systems that enhance efficiency, animal welfare, and overall farm performance.

Slurry scraper systems Rope scraper replacement parts Rotary scratch brushes Automated ventilation systems LED lighting solutions Collecting yard backing gates Foot-trimming crushes

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out accurate on-farm measuring up, ensuring correct system specification and installation requirements Prepare precise pricing and quotations based on technical assessments Use your mechanical and farming knowledge to advise customers on the most suitable solutions Develop new business opportunities while managing existing accounts Work closely with the Commercial Manager to deliver regional strategy Follow up on leads from trade shows and marketing activity Provide high-quality customer service before, during, and after installation Conduct regular farm visits, attend trade events, and represent the business professionally Deliver technical presentations and maintain accurate reporting Interpret technical drawings and communicate clearly with farmers and contractors Criteria:
Strong practical knowledge of dairy farming and farm operations (essential) Mechanical or technical background, ideally with experience in farm machinery, equipment, or installations Ability to measure, specify, and price technical systems accurately Previous sales experience within agriculture, dairy, or machinery (desirable but not essential) Self-motivated with strong drive and enthusiasm Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong organisational ability If this sounds like the next step in your career, wed love to hear from you!
