Internal Technical Sales Specialist - Construction​/Building Supplies

RMErecruit are partnering with a leading Belfast based business who are seeking an Internal Technical Sales Professional This role will support the business by delivering expert technical guidance, system specifications, and commercial quotes across our specialist product divisions. Operating as a key link within the construction supply chain, this role supports builders merchants, trade stockists, specialist sub-contractors, main contractors, and design professionals across Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities B2B Technical Consultation:

Serve as the main internal technical contact, providing accurate product guidance and system recommendations to trade customers and commercial contractors. Specification & Blueprint Take-offs:

Interpret architectural drawings, structural plans, and technical submittals to produce fast, accurate material quantity take-offs and commercial quotes. Account & Field Support:

Partner with regional Account Managers by managing incoming technical inquiries, tracking live project bids, and driving repeat business across trade accounts. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure recommended system solutions align with relevant regional building regulations, performance metrics, and project budget constraints. Commercial & Logistics Management:
Process trade orders, monitor inventory levels, coordinate site deliveries with logistics teams, and handle product substitution queries quickly to keep projects moving. Requirements 2 years of experience in B2B technical sales, estimating, or commercial trade support within the construction materials sector. Strong familiarity with the Northern Ireland commercial construction landscape and trade distribution channels. Proven ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and technical data sheets.

Solid commercial acumen with experience managing pricing structures, profit margins, and customer accounts. Proficiency with ERP/CRM business systems and Microsoft Excel. Benefits:
