ABOUT:
SAR Lubricants are a British manufacturer of industrial lubricants and chemical auxiliaries, established in 1872 and based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. We serve industrial, automotive and textile customers, with a strong focus on customer care and fast, reliable delivery.
OVERVIEW:We are looking for an organised, customer-focused Sales Administrator to support our sales team. You will handle customer phone and email enquiries, process purchase orders, and keep orders moving from enquiry to delivery. This is a full-time, office-based role at our Mirfield site.
HOURS:40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (office based)
DETAILS:- Answer phone and email queries about product availability, pricing and delivery schedules.
- Receive, check and enter customer purchase orders accurately.
- Prepare quotations and order confirmations for customers.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and dispatch team to arrange deliveries and courier or haulage bookings.
- Keep customers updated on order progress and let them know promptly about any delays.
- Raise delivery notes and invoices, and help with basic payment queries.
- Handle returns, credit notes and customer complaints, passing them on where needed.
- Support the sales representatives with communication, paperwork and order fulfilment.
- Update and maintain customer records in the CRM system and internal databases.
- Keep product, price and customer information accurate and up to date.
- Carry out general office duties such as filing, post, reception cover and ordering stationery.
SKILLS:
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional telephone manner.
- Strong time management, with the ability to handle heavy workloads and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Accuracy in data entry and processing transactions, with good attention to detail and numeracy.
- Able to prioritise tasks and work on own initiative.
- Experience with SAGE and/or a CRM system would be an advantage.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience in a sales administration or customer service role is desirable.
Organised and reliable. Friendly and professional with customers. A team player who works well with sales, warehouse and accounts colleagues. Calm under pressure and keen to get things right first time.
FUTURE PROSPECTS:Full training on our products, systems and processes. Opportunity to broaden into wider sales support and customer account responsibilities as the role develops.
Office based only at our Mirfield site. Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary commensurate with experience.
