Inclusion IQ is thrilled to partner with our multi-award-winning client, a rapidly expanding leader in the Green Energy Transport Industry, dedicated to creating sustainable energy solutions across Ireland. They are seeking a highly motivated Group Business Development Manager to be based at their Belfast HQ. This is a strategic, high-impact opportunity to drive cross-jurisdictional growth.

They have over 55 years of successful operations and a strong, secure financial standing.

This company is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment for all. They boast a high standard of staff retention, offering ample opportunities for career growth and development within the team.

The Role

As the Group Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth within the company s warehousing and storage solutions division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the company s regional footprint and securing high-value contracts across the Republic of Ireland (ROI) and Northern Ireland (NI). The primary focus of this role is to identify, pitch, and close new commercial opportunities, specifically targeting the FMCG (food, beverage, and pharmaceutical) sectors to offer bespoke ambient or specialised warehousing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a robust business development strategy tailored to the contract logistics and warehousing market to meet and exceed ambitious revenue targets.

  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from initial lead generation and technical solution scoping to pitching, negotiating, and successfully closing high-value, multi-year commercial storage agreements.

  • Manage the allocated business development budget effectively to maximise ROI and drive optimal commercial growth.

  • Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with key external supply chain decision-makers, while collaborating closely with the company s internal operations and warehouse management teams.

  • Represent the business at key logistics, supply chain, and FMCG industry networking events to position the company as a premier partner for storage solutions.

Essential Criteria
  • A minimum of 5+ years of successful business development experience, specifically within logistics, contract warehousing, or supply chain services.

  • Demonstrated success in identifying and securing high-value warehousing and storage contracts with major FMCG, food, drink, or pharmaceutical clients.

  • Ability to calculate, present, and be accountable for the Return on Investment (ROI), cost-per-pallet, and pricing structures of complex commercial contracts.

  • A strategic thinker who can analyse client supply chains and present tailored warehousing space and service configurations that solve their capacity challenges.

  • Exceptional negotiation expertise, with a proven ability to secure complex trade agreements and long-term Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of delivering compelling presentations to senior supply chain, procurement, and C-suite stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated, resilient, and highly goal-oriented, with the tenacity to consistently pursue and convert sophisticated enterprise leads.

  • Full flexibility and willingness to travel across NI and ROI are non-negotiable requirements of this role.
