Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Site Security Officer you will provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities.
- Carry out site duties in line with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct internal and external site patrols, including perimeter and fire door checks.
- Prevent unauthorized access to or within perimeters and buildings.
- Liaise with the technical team daily to report any alarm, CCTV or gate issues on sites.
- Coordinate with departmental heads of staff regarding property or asset issues.
- Respond to all incidents or emergencies onsite.
- Manage site gatehouse duties.
- Handle site keys and incident report management.
- Ensure the safety of people on site by reporting any health and safety breaches found.
- Ensure that access/egress duties are actioned in line with company policies.
- Adhere to company training and processes in the pursuit of your duties.
- Provide excellent customer service, remaining courteous and professional at all times.
- Undertake refresher and developmental training as required.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and bespoke systems (training will be provided).
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Customer‑service oriented, demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
- Capacity to work under pressure.
- Team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Show flexibility and adapt to new requests outside of the core role on request.
- Respond to all customer requests in a timely manner.
Fawdon
Hours42 hours per week
Shift4 on 4 off day 07:00‑19:00
Hourly Rate£12.50
The PersonConfident communicator able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity, welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict professionally.
Required Experience and Qualification- Valid SIA licence.
- Previous experience in a retail security role is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
- SIA licence renewal.
