The Role The successful candidate will be expected to work alone or as a team member to carry out installation, servicing, periodic maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution of any faults identified on systems. They will be expected to respond to reactive calls received from our existing customers along with providing ongoing support for new customer installations. Day to Day responsibilities of the role:
Ensure all mandatory and statutory paperwork is present and compliant. Respond to reactive calls diagnosing problems with the access control and door intercom systems. Install and commission access control and intercom systems. Provide clients with details of work carried out on site and recommendations for system repairs. Keep accurate and timely records of work carried out, equipment used, and parts required for any additional works.
Ensure that all systems inspected meet the current health and safety standards for intercom and access control. Liaise with suppliers and the office administrator to provide quotations for customer works and repairs. There will occasionally be a requirement to work outside standard hours to meet the business needs of our customers. Experience/
Essential Criteria A minimum of five years experience in a service and installation role. Proven knowledge and experience of fault finding of access control and intercom systems. Time served as an electrical or security engineer. Knowledge of current required systems standards. Ability to work effectively and efficiently on own initiative without supervision. Ability to work on a variety of tasks, reactive, preventative maintenance and project work.
Excellent ICT skills Good communication skills both oral and written. Excellent time keeping Full UK Driving License Desirable Criteria
