Position: Complex Case Officer

Location: Shropshire Council

Pay Rate: £290 per day

Contract: 4-month position with a potential extension

Work Arrangement: Fully remote

Job Requirements:

• Take ownership of challenging AR cases, including:
• Disputes from parents/settings
• Requests for specialist or out-of-county placements
• Significant provision changes
• Manage cases from review decision through to amended/final plan
• Prepare and present complex AR outcomes to panel (RCP)
• Justify funding uplifts, placement changes, or specialist provision
• Work closely with Parents/carers (often in dispute scenarios), Schools and SENCOs and Providers and professionals
• Manage expectations and reduce escalation to tribunal where possible
