Sessional Lead Advocate Practitioner (6175)

Sessional Lead Young Persons Advocate Practitioner West Cheshire

Permanent with funding until 31st March 2028

Sessional contract

£16.81 per hour

Home based with expectation of regular travel across Cheshire West
(mileage paid at 55p a mile)

Young Persons Lead Advocate Practitioner empowers children and young people to express their views and navigate complex social care, health or education systems. You will ensure that a young person’s voice is heard in decision making affecting their lives. As Lead Practitioner successful candidate will provide one to one support to young people will also support Safer Practice Manager with mentoring staff, leading and ensuring rights based trauma informed support.

  • Computer literate and is able to navigate mosaic and other children society data management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written Communication skills, including telephone skills
  • Team work and collaboration with a variety of partners
  • Competencies in undertaking risk assessments within scope of practice

Experience

  • Experience of providing advocacy support and working with children and young people
  • Experience of providing supervision to staff or volunteers .
  • Experience of working in partnership with external organisations
