Position: Project Coordinator – Her Cadence (TCHC1) True Cadence

A Day in the Life of the Role

This is a hands‑on, relationship‑focused role at the heart of Her Cadence, our creative peer support and co‑design programme for girls and young women aged 14 to 25. You might start by preparing the space with facilitators and welcoming participants as they arrive. During a session, you could be checking in with a young woman who needs some additional support, helping the group shape ideas for future activities, coordinating a visiting mentor, or making sure a creative or wellbeing session runs safely and smoothly.

Outside of sessions, you may follow up with participants or parents, update programme records, coordinate upcoming activities with facilitators, or capture feedback and actions for the Project Lead. Her Cadence is built with girls and young women, not simply delivered to them. Your role is to provide the consistency, relationships and practical coordination that allow their voices to genuinely shape the programme.

Role Overview

The Project Coordinator plays a central role in the day‑to‑day delivery of Her Cadence, a dedicated programme for girls and young women aged 14 to 25. Her Cadence brings together peer support, wellbeing, creativity, mentoring, personal development and co‑design. Participants are encouraged to build confidence, explore their interests, develop positive relationships and have a genuine say in how the programme develops.

You will be a consistent and trusted presence for participants, helping sessions remain welcoming, organised, safe and responsive to their needs. This is not a counselling or therapeutic role. However, participants may discuss wellbeing, relationships or personal experiences. You must therefore be able to listen appropriately, maintain professional boundaries, recognise safeguarding concerns and follow the correct escalation procedures. We are looking for someone who is warm and approachable, but equally organised, dependable and confident in maintaining the structure and boundaries needed for high‑quality work with young people.
