Test Engineer

MCS Group is working exclusively with a high-growth financial technology client with huge growth plans for Belfast. Having been in the local market for over year with a team of over 50 technologists now in place, they're embarking on their next period of growth - imminently launching a new technology centre of excellence with a focus on building tools and platforms for financial compliance.

We're looking for a talented Software Tester with experience in test automation to join this brand new team. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of new, cutting-edge software products used in financial compliance - think trade surveillance, transaction monitoring, risk monitoring.

This is a hybrid role, based in Belfast city centre - and the perfect opportunity for an ambitious test engineer who is seeking the chance to mark their mark on a completely brand new division and to work on completely new products and tools.

What you'll do:

• The Test Engineer will design, develop, and execute automated test scripts.
• Work closely with software developers, analysts, and product teams to validate functionality and performance
• Contribute to the testing of systems that detect market abuse and ensure regulatory compliance - systems which will be deployed globally in a business of over 6000 across multiple geographies.

What we're looking for:

• You'll have a solid background in software testing, specifically within financial services or fintech product environments.
• You'll have solid experience in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies
• Exposure to financial services, ideally having tested systems and applications used for financial compliance; trade surveillance systems, transaction monitoring, fraud detection, and regulatory monitoring applications.
• A detail-oriented mindset with a passion for breaking things!

Salary

Up to £65,000 with a competitive package which includes bonus, private healthcare and pension.
