My client is a rapidly scaling unicorn software company operating in the Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) space, helping organisations secure their cloud infrastructure through real-time data insights.

Now fully embedded within both AWS and Azure as a core security solution, they are becoming a critical part of how enterprises secure their cloud environments.

Backed by a recent £250 million investment, they’re in major growth mode—building out their Belfast engineering hub with some of the best talent in the market.

What’s in it for you?
  • Hybrid working: 3 days onsite in one of the best office spaces in Northern Ireland
  • Tech stack:
Go, Java (open to engineers from any high-performing language with cross-training provided)
  • Work on highly complex, real-world cloud security challenges
  • Join a true engineering-led culture with no egos or politics—just strong collaboration
  • Be part of a high-growth unicorn with genuine long-term career progression
The Role

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Owning the full development lifecycle – from design and development through to deployment and monitoring
  • Making technical and architectural decisions that impact high-scale cloud security platforms
  • Improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems
  • Conducting design and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards
  • Collaborating closely with Frontend, Dev Ops, and Security teams
About You

You’re a great fit if you have:

  • 4+ years of backend development experience in any high-performing language
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Exposure to data-intensive systems (databases, messaging, event-driven systems, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices
  • Experience working within microservices architectures
Bonus Skills (Desirable, not essential)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Elasticsearch, Redis, Rabbit

    MQ, or Timescale DB
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
What’s It Like to Work Here?

You’ll be joining a highly collaborative, low-ego engineering culture where people are trusted to make decisions, take ownership, and deliver real impact.

Engineers here own projects end-to-end, giving you the opportunity to work on genuinely interesting problems and see your work directly influence the product.

Combined with a state-of-the-art Belfast office and a fast-growing, well-funded environment, this is a role where you can do your best work and accelerate your career.
