Senior Frontend Engineer (High Ownership Role)

We’re working with a high-growth technology company building complex, data-heavy applications used in real-world, mission-critical environments.

They’re looking to hire a Senior Frontend Engineer who is operating at the top end of senior level — someone ready to own a frontend application end-to-end within a broader platform.

You’ll play a key role in building and owning a modern frontend application within a multi-app monorepo architecture
, contributing to highly interactive, data-intensive user experiences.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership
, where you’ll take responsibility for a defined application and drive it from development through to production and optimisation.

• Complex workflows involving large datasets and real-time interactions
• Performance-critical interfaces with a strong focus on usability and scalability

Modern frontend architecture across React and Next.js applications

• Own and develop a frontend application within a shared monorepo environment
• Build and maintain high-performance React applications using Type Script
• Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams
• Design scalable, type-safe interfaces across frontend and backend
• Drive best practices in testing, code quality, and architecture
• Contribute to technical decisions and frontend standards

• React + Type Script (core stack)
• Next.js / Vite
• tRPC (type-safe APIs)
• Testing:
  Playwright, Vitest

• Strong experience building production-grade frontend applications (5+ years)
• Deep expertise in React and modern SPA architecture
• Experience working in monorepos or multi-application environments
• Proven ability to own features or applications end-to-end
• Strong product mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
• Comfortable balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability

• Tan Stack, tRPC, or Next.js experience
• AWS experience (especially CDK / serverless)
• Frontend performance optimisation experience

• High ownership role — own a frontend app within a larger platform
• Work on technically challenging, data-heavy applications
