Position: Python Developer - Contract

Python Developer (Fin Tech) – Belfast (Hybrid) – Contract

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with a strong Fin Tech or Financial Services background to join a Belfast‑based team on an initial 3‑6 month contract
.

Location: Belfast (Hybrid) –
Contract: 3‑6 Months

Essential Skills

5+ years of commercial Python development experience
Previous experience within Fin Tech, Banking, Payments, or Financial Services
Strong knowledge of Python and API development (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
Experience with SQL databases such as Postgre

SQL or SQL Server
Experience building scalable applications and microservices
Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments
Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices

Desirable

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of payment systems, trading platforms, risk, or regulatory reporting
Exposure to Kafka, Rabbit

MQ, or event‑driven architectures
