Lead AI Engineer​/Series A​/Market Leading Comp

I’m working with a seriously exciting AI scale-up that’s redefining how advanced AI is deployed in secure, high-stakes environments - and they are looking for a Principal AI Solutions Engineer to lead a high performing team.

They’ve already proven strong product-market fit (Series A) and are now scaling rapidly toward Series B - with significant investment going into both product and people.

Their platform is enabling organisations to run powerful AI systems in environments where others simply can’t operate - think highly regulated, data-sensitive, or even fully offline settings. This is not theory or experimentation - it’s real-world, mission-critical AI.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact engineering role where you’ll be building and deploying AI solutions directly with clients. You’ll go from idea → prototype → production at speed, solving complex problems along the way.

• Lead a cross‑functional team of AI Engineers / Software Developers / Data Scientists
• Design and build AI‑powered applications using cutting‑edge LLM frameworks
• Develop APIs, integrations, and scalable backend systems (Python‑focused)
• Create intelligent workflows, agents, and retrieval‑based systems (RAG, etc.)
• Work directly with clients to turn challenges into working solutions — fast
• Lead technical discussions and influence how solutions are shaped
• Mentor others and contribute to a high‑performing engineering culture

• Strong software engineering background with production experience
• Hands‑on work with LLMs (prompting, APIs, agents, evaluation)
• Solid Python skills and experience building APIs (FastAPI or similar)
• Confident communicator — able to bridge technical and non‑technical worlds
• Experience working with clients or end users in a delivery‑focused role
• Someone who thrives in fast‑paced, build‑first environments

• Experience with RAG, vector databases, or knowledge graphs
• Familiarity with open‑source models or local deployment
• Cloud and containerisation experience
• Interest in building secure systems for complex or regulated environments

• Real‑world, high‑impact AI use cases (not just internal tools or POCs)
