Your role in the team The Managing Engineer
- Workday Integrations is responsible for leading the design, development, delivery, and support of enterprise integrations that connect Workday with internal and third-party applications across the organization. This role combines technical leadership, people leadership, and delivery accountability to ensure Workday integrations are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. The Managing Engineer leads a team of integration engineers responsible for developing and maintaining interfaces using Workday integration technologies, middleware platforms, APIs, cloud integration services, and enterprise messaging frameworks.

The role partners closely with HR Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to define integration strategies, establish engineering standards, and deliver high-quality technology solutions. This position requires a technical leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on technical oversight, drive operational excellence, mentor engineering talent, and ensure integration platforms evolve to meet future business and technology requirements.

Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of Workday integration engineers, establishing clear priorities, objectives, and engineering best practices, with support from Lead and Principal Engineers. Own the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of Workday integrations across Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, and other Workday modules. Lead the delivery of complex integration initiatives involving Workday, middleware platforms, cloud services, APIs, and third-party vendors. Establish engineering standards, governance processes, coding practices, and quality controls across the integration portfolio. Partner with HR Technology, Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders to translate business outcomes into technical solutions. Ensure integrations meet security, compliance, audit, and data governance requirements. Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and Infrastructure as Code where appropriate.

Oversee production support processes, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
