The Belfast engineering team works on the systems that power their trading, operations, and risk infrastructure ... a small, senior team with a flat structure, high-trust culture, and a genuine focus on long-term career development.

The Role

This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who wants to work on genuinely complex, mission-critical software. You will develop tools, reports, and data feeds for trading, operations, and risk teams, collaborating directly with Heads of Business and front-office stakeholders. You will take real ownership of what you build and your voice will carry weight here. This is not a large team where good work disappears quietly.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop tools, reports, and data feeds to meet the needs of trading, operations, and risk teams
• Own software quality end-to-end, from design through to production
• Collaborate closely with Heads of Business and front-office teams to implement and maintain critical systems
• Contribute to company-wide technology initiatives as business and operational goals evolve

What You'll Need

Essential

• 1+ years of experience in a technical engineering role
• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in a relevant field from a strong university
• Solid Computer Science fundamentals ... you understand what is happening under the hood
• Hands-on Java experience, ideally including Spring Boot
• Experience working in cloud environments, AWS preferred
• Right to work in the UK

Nice to have

• Background in fintech, trading systems, or high-stakes production environments
• AWS certification
