Role:
Thing Worx Developer
Start: ASAP
Duration: 12 months (+ possible extension)

2-3 days onsite in Stevenage OR Bolton OR Bristol

Seeking a skilled PTC Thing Worx Developer with 5-8 years of experience in Thing Worx application development, enhancement, support, and maintenance. The candidate should have strong expertise in developing IIoT solutions, troubleshooting production issues, integrating industrial devices, and supporting enterprise-scale Thing Worx applications. Exposure to Thing Worx Navigate, Kepware, and manufacturing solutions is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain Thing Worx applications, Mashups, Services, Data Shapes, Events, and Subscriptions.
- Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, SQL databases, and external enterprise systems.
- Provide L1/L2/L3 support, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance optimization.
- Manage application deployments, releases, upgrades, and environment support across Dev, QA, and Production.
- Configure and troubleshoot user access, security, monitoring, and application health.
- Support industrial connectivity using Kepware, OPC-UA, MQTT and PLC integrations.
- Collaborate with business, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams for new enhancements and issue resolution.
- 5-8 years of hands‑on experience with PTC Thing Worx, Kepware.
- Strong expertise in Mashup Development, Services, JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, and SQL.
- Experience in application support, maintenance, and production troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Thing Worx security, deployments, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Thing Worx Navigate, Kepware, and Windchill integration.
- Candidate must be a UK National due to the nature of the customer environment and security requirements.
- Candidates who have previously held Security Check (SC) Clearance or are eligible to obtain SC Clearance will be preferred.
