We are seeking a Java Engineer to join Compliance & Supervision Technology in TD Securities. The role builds technology solutions that meet regulatory obligations, strengthen supervisory controls, and manage conduct and trade-related risks. The role requires you to work across Compliance & Supervision for Global Markets. You will be responsible for the design, development, delivery, and operational support of technology solutions that enable regulatory compliance, surveillance, supervision, and control oversight functions.

The role partners closely with Compliance, Risk, Data, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, resilient, and regulator-ready solutions.

• Deliver strategic Compliance and Supervision technology initiatives.
• Partner with multiple teams including product, architecture, infrastructure, security, and vendors.
• Build solutions to meet business objectives while adhering to enterprise architecture & security standards.
• Follow Agile delivery practices and continuous delivery methodologies.

• Build and support API first, event-driven, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.
• Ensure integration between vendor platforms, proprietary systems, and enterprise data services.
• Contribute to solution designs for scalability, resiliency, maintainability, and security.
• Adhere to reuse and common platform capability practices across work streams.

• Ensure technology solutions support regulatory obligations, supervisory requirements, and compliance controls.
• Embed auditability, traceability, entitlement controls, evidencing capabilities, and monitoring into system designs.
• Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, remediation programs, and control assessments.

• Strong hands‑on Java development experience, JDK 17+ preferred.
• Rest/GraphQL APIs using Spring Boot or any similar.
• Strong SQL experience with any RDBMS.
• Working experience with messaging technologies like Kafka or similar.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Agile experience, with a focus on backlog execution, dependencies, continuous improvement, and outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong team player, with the ability to work across time zones and locations.
• Ability to contribute to multiple priorities and work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployment .Experience with Search Engines like Apache Solr/Open Search/Elastic Search.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git Hub actions, Terraform or similar.
  
  Experience with tools like Sonar Qube, Veracode or similar.
• Experience with big data technologies, data analytics, and AI.
• Experience with working on workflow engines like Camunda, Activiti, JBPM or similar.
• Experience operating within highly regulated financial services environments.
• Knowledge of financial industry trade surveillance, market abuse monitoring and/or global markets domain experience, including trading lifecyle.

Relevant experience of technology delivery and software engineering experience. Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
