Senior Backend Developer; PHP​/AI

Multis UK Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer for the development and improvement of production systems, APIs and online marketplace platforms. AI-assisted development is part of our everyday workflow.

• Design and development of backend applications and REST APIs
• Development in PHP 8+ with SQL databases
• Architecture and improvement of existing production systems
• Search, automation and third-party service integrations
• Code review, debugging and automated testing
• Use of AI coding tools and AI agents for development, research, testing and code review
• Integration of AI APIs and agents into applications where appropriate
• Technical guidance for junior developers

• Strong commercial backend development experience
• Very good PHP and SQL knowledge
• Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs
• Git and modern development workflows
• Linux and Docker experience
• Ability to understand and improve existing codebases
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
• Comfortable using modern AI coding tools and AI agents as part of development

• MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Elasticsearch and search technologies
• Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
• JavaScript or Type Script
• Automated functional and API testing
• Microservices and asynchronous processing
• Experience integrating LLM/AI APIs, agents or AI-assisted content processing

• Work on real international production systems and online marketplaces
• Modern development workflow including AI-assisted engineering
• Flexible remote cooperation
• High level of technical independence
