QA Engineer

About You

You will be an experienced QA professional with a strong background in test automation and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in QA automation within Agile environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or WebDriverIO
  • Strong programming experience in Java, JavaScript or Type Script
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks
  • Strong API, functional and end-to-end testing experience
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Practical experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
  • Knowledge of performance, load and stress testing
  • Experience working with Agile or SAFe methodologies
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and quality engineering principles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks and improving quality
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other QA engineers

Experience with in financial services, trading platforms or capital markets would be highly advantageous, as would knowledge of FIX/API, AWS, microservices or serverless environments.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, execute and maintain automated and functional test solutions
  • Design and evolve robust, scalable automation frameworks using modern tools such as Playwright
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Drive shift-left testing and API-first automation across Agile delivery teams
  • Work closely with developers, product owners and business analysts to define effective test strategies
  • Apply BDD and TDD principles to improve software quality
  • Use AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance testing efficiency and automation workflows
  • Identify performance issues and recommend improvements
  • Champion quality engineering practices across the wider team
  • Contribute to code reviews, unit testing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and coach other members of the QA team
  • Take ownership of testing deliverables, risks and technical challenges
  • Communicate progress, risks and issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
