Senior Developer

We are looking for a Senior Developer to join the UK Vehicle Finance Tribe, supporting Northridge Finance and Marshall Leasing. This is a great opportunity to help deliver digital solutions that improve customer experiences, increase operational efficiency and support business growth.

You will work in a collaborative Agile environment, using modern software engineering practices to develop and enhance business-critical applications. You will also have the opportunity to build your expertise in cloud technologies, automation, artificial intelligence (AI) enabled tools and modern development approaches while contributing to solutions that make a real difference to customers and colleagues.

• Design, develop and support enterprise applications using modern technologies, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure and easy to maintain.
• Work closely with business partners, architects and technology teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to the adoption of cloud, automation and AI-enabled capabilities across the Vehicle Finance technology platform.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities, sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and contributing to technical design decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help maintain high engineering standards through testing, code quality, performance optimisation and the ongoing enhancement of development tools and practices.

You will bring experience developing enterprise applications using C#/.NET Core MVC, modern web technologies, API integrations and Microsoft SQL Server. You will be comfortable working within Agile teams and enjoy collaborating with a wide range of partners to solve business problems.

Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills will help you succeed in this role. You will be able to handle contending priorities, work independently when needed and contribute positively within a team environment.

Experience with the following will help you stand out but is not required to apply for this role:

• Azure, Azure Dev Ops and cloud-native development practices.
• REST and SOAP web services, Postman and API testing tools.
• AI-assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
• Financial Services, Banking or Vehicle Finance technology environments.
• Mentoring developers or supporting technical design activities.
• Working with third-party suppliers and external technology partners.

Degree or equivalent qualification and/or professional experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technology field.
