Casual Site Supervisor - Polesworth Sports Centre

We are looking to appoint casual Site Supervisor(s), who will oversee the running of sports and activities on weekday evenings. We are looking for someone who is self‑motivated, enthusiastic, has strong interpersonal skills and the desire to make a positive contribution to our service and the wider community. As part of the Leisure Facilities Team at North Warwickshire Borough Council you will be crucial to the supervision and day to day operation of these busy leisure facilities.

Duties will include opening and smooth running of bookings, and locking up of the premises, including checking bookings, setting up and down equipment, supporting the safe access to the facilities, customer service, cleaning, maintenance, health and safety and first aid support as required. An understanding of the leisure industry and the principles of leisure operations would be an advantage as well as an understanding of Health & Safety legislation.

You must also hold a first aid qualification.

Polesworth Sports Centre Facilities include a four‑court sports hall (home to our gymnastics scheme), a studio, Multi Use Games Area, changing rooms, toilets and other walkways, carparks etc.

Shift times vary depending on the shift and location, generally starting from any time between 16:30 and 17:45 and ending between 21:00 and 22:15.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. An Enhanced Disclosure will be required.
