THE EMPLOYER IS: CIYMS CRICKET CLUBThe Club and Community Cricket Coach will support the development and delivery of cricket programmes within the club and local community. The role focuses on coaching players of varying ages and abilities, promoting participation, and contributing to the overall growth and positive culture of the club and cricket withing the NCU cricket union.
The successful candidate will also assist with the general operation of club activities as required. Successful candidates will receive safeguarding, first aid and coaching related training.
- Planning and Delivering inclusive cricket sessions in schools, club and community settings.
- Assist with the organisation and running of summer schemes and community events.
- Help facilitate youth coaching sessions and matches, providing support for young players cricket development.
- Prepare and maintain coaching and cricket equipment, ensuring sessions are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Engage positively with players, parents’, teachers and volunteers to represent CIYMS(CICC) cricket club in the community.
- Undertake relevant training and development opportunities provided by CIYMS(CICC) Cricket club, including safeguarding, first aid and coaching qualifications.
- Assist with the organisation, coordination, and promotion of club events and activities.
- Support fundraising initiatives and community outreach events.
- Undertake ad-hoc duties related to the general operation of the cricket club as required.
- Assist with basic ground preparation tasks, including pitch and outfield setup where required.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative when required.
- Basic knowledge or playing experience of cricket.
- Experience of working or volunteering with children, young people or community groups.
- Basic IT skills.
- Access to transport for travel between schools and venues.
- Interest of developing a career in sports, youth work or in education.
- Genuine interest in sport, coaching and community development.
