The main function of this role is to deliver bakery products to our customers. Hours of work will be based on a rotating shift pattern including weekends starting between 5 and 7 pm.
Key Accountabilities- To comply with all legal and company requirements for HGV Drivers e.g. Health & Safety, Vehicle road worthiness and checks, Drivers hours etc
- To always drive Company vehicles to high standards of safety and courtesy, including compliance with the Highway Code and any Company standards
- To apply SAFED driving techniques, in order to maximise levels of safety and fuel efficiency
- To comply with all Company delivery and collection procedures
- To comply with Company standards for customer service
- To report immediately to the FLM any variations to required standards of product quality and service levels
- To follow Company standards and procedures for working with, and accounting for, Company products and equipment, e.g. bread baskets & pallets
- To comply with all Company requirements for Driver training and communications
- To carry out any duties, as required by the Company, e.g. unloading, refuelling and washing vehicles and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- C+E on driving licence
- One year’s driving experience of class C+E vehicles
- The ability to work shifts; including weekends
- CPC Qualification
- A digital drivers card
- Experience of driving with double deck trailers
