HGV Driver- PM

Permanent / Full Time Mon‑Fri, minimum 40 hours.

Starting time: 3 pm.

Base location:
Duncrue Street, Belfast.

We are looking for full‑time HGV Drivers (Category

C) to join our busy teams at our Duncrue Street site. As a driver you will complete multi‑drop deliveries and collections throughout Northern Ireland and may be required to collect and move commercial containers.

• Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the River Ridge Brand.
• Ensure health & safety adherence at all times.
• Complete vehicle checks in line with operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the transport office (electronically and verbally).
• Follow all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles.
• Work collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained and continually improved.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Undertake all necessary training and cooperate with the security clearance process as required.
• Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department.

• Hold a valid HGV licence – Category
  
  C.
• Hold a digital tachograph card and full Driver CPC.
• Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points).
• Basic disclosure checks (Access NI) must be completed and maintained.
• Ability to undertake manual work.
• Flexible approach to working hours, finish times, weekends and bank holidays.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Team player.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Good knowledge of driver’s hours, rules and regulations.

• Minimum of 6 months of HGV driving experience.
• Previous experience working in the waste industry.
• Any offer of employment will be subject to a successful driving assessment.
• Must provide documentation to confirm eligibility to work in the UK.

• Competitive hourly rate – £15.73 ph (shift from 3 pm to finish, with a shift allowance of 15.4 % on the basic hourly rate).
• Annual bonus scheme available.
• Overtime rate of time and a half for hours worked over 44 hours Monday‑Friday.
• Saturday, Sunday & bank holiday – time and a half.
• 28 days annual leave (including 8 customary bank holidays).
