Customs Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Officer to join the transport team. In this role, you'll ensure the smooth and compliant movement of goods across borders by managing all customs documentation, coordinating with internal teams, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and process import/export customs declarations. Ensure all shipments comply with HMRC, Brexit-related, and international customs regulations. Liaise with freight carriers, customs authorities, and clients to resolve any clearance issues. Maintain accurate records of customs documentation and audit trails. Track shipments and provide timely updates to internal teams and customers. Support the wider operations team with administrative tasks as required.

Identify opportunities to improve customs processes and reduce delays.

What Were Looking For Previous experience in customs administration, freight forwarding, or transport/logistics (preferred). Strong understanding of import/export procedures and customs systems (e.g., CDS, GVMS, NCTS). Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
