Permanent, Full-Time Shift Pattern:
Rotating pattern of 2 days (06:00-18:00) followed by 2 nights (18:00-06:00), followed by 4 days off. Salary: £33,927 Big news for our Port Service Operatives! We're making a positive change to the way we work as we're moving away from split shifts to a clear, structured straight shift pattern, giving you greater consistency and improved work-life balance. You will now work a rotating continental shift pattern of:

- 2 days (06:00-18:00) - 2 nights (18:00-06:00) - Followed by 4 days off
- Please note, you would have a 24-hour break after your final day shift before transitioning to nights. This new approach means fewer disruptions, more predictability, and better time to plan your life outside of work, all while being part of a vital, fast-paced port operation. At Stena Line, our Port Operations Team in Belfast plays a vital role in keeping Europe connected through safe, efficient, and reliable freight and passenger services.

This is a hands-on operational role where your skills behind the wheel and your teamwork mindset will make a real impact. Whether you come from a background in farming, transport or heavy vehicle operations, we are looking for promising and experienced candidates who are keen to develop in a role that offers stability and clear working patterns within one of Europe's leading shipping companies.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Tugmaster to transfer trailers on and off vessels.

- Assist with mooring and vessel loading/unloading procedures.

- Marshal freight and passenger vehicles for embarkation and disembarkation.

- Maintain cleanliness and safety across port areas.

- Follow structured operational procedures and safety protocols.

- Adapt to training on new equipment and systems.

- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth port operations. What We're Looking For We're after reliable, adaptable, and proactive team players who thrive in fast-paced environments. You'll need to:

- Stay calm under pressure and uphold high safety and service standards.

- Follow structured processes and be open to training on new equipment.

- Live within commuting distance of Belfast. Who You Are You're a safety-first professional with experience operating large vehicles like HGVs, Tug masters, or agricultural machinery. You enjoy hands-on work, are quick to adapt, and bring a strong team spirit to every shift. Your communication skills and customer-focused mindset make you a great fit for our port operations team. Experience & Qualification
- Experience operating large vehicles (HGVs, Tug masters, or similar).

- Previous work in port operations or logistics is a plus.

- Full, clean driving licence.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Commitment to safety and following structured procedures.
