Air Exports Operator Late Shift

Position: Air Exports Operator 4 on 4 off 11.30-23.30 Late Shift
Full job description We are looking for an experienced Air Exports Operator to join our operations team on a 4 on, 4 off late shift . This role is ideal for someone with a background in air freight forwarding who can confidently manage export shipments from start to finish while ensuring a high level of customer service and operational accuracy.

You will be responsible for coordinating export shipments, preparing documentation, completing customs declarations, and liaising with airlines, customers, and overseas partners to ensure freight moves efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities Manage air export shipments from booking through to departure. Arrange collections and coordinate transport with suppliers and hauliers. Book cargo with airlines and monitor flight schedules. Prepare and process export documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, consolidation and direct shipments. Complete accurate UK export customs declarations in line with HMRC regulations. Ensure all customer SOPs are followed and service levels are maintained.

Provide customers with regular shipment updates from collection through to final destination. Liaise with airlines, overseas agents, customs authorities, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations. Resolve operational issues and respond proactively to shipment delays or changes. Ensure all operational and financial information is recorded accurately. Maintain compliance with company procedures and industry regulations. Key Skills Previous experience in Air Export Freight Forwarding.

Strong understanding of export documentation and UK customs procedures. Experience preparing customs declarations using relevant freight forwarding systems. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple shipments. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work. Excellent communication and customer service skills. The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure. Good IT skills and experience using freight forwarding software.
