Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Driver Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a permanent, full-time position with our client in Belfast. We're looking for a reliable, experienced and professional driver who takes pride in their work, prioritises safety and compliance, and is committed to delivering an excellent service to customers. Responsibilities Drive Class 1 vehicles safely, responsibly and in accordance with all relevant legislation. Carry out daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects or maintenance issues. Ensure full compliance with Driver's Hours, tachograph regulations and transport legislation.

Check that all loads are safely and securely loaded before setting off. Complete deliveries safely, efficiently and within agreed delivery times. Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and report any issues, delays or discrepancies. Follow customer site rules and all company health & safety procedures. Maintain a professional, courteous and customer-focused approach at all times. Requirements Full UK Class 1 (CE) driving licence.

Valid Driver CPC qualification. Valid Digital Tachograph Card. Minimum of 1 years' HGV driving experience. Previous experience driving articulated vehicles within a distribution or logistics environment. Strong understanding of Driver's Hours, tachograph requirements and transport legislation. Good knowledge of the Northern Ireland road network is highly beneficial. Good standard of spoken and written English. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively and follow planned routes. Reliable, safety-conscious and professional approach to driving.
