** As a Transport Allocator, you will will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service by maximising vehicle capacity, maintaining compliance with transport legislation and Operator Licence requirements, and supporting continuous improvement across transport operations.

* Working Hours:

** This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, 7:00-16:30 and every other Saturday, from 8:00-12:00

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Allocate and plan customer deliveries to ensure delivery commitments and service levels are achieved.
* Maximise fleet utilisation and delivery capacity while maintaining operational efficiency.
* Work closely with branches to understand customer requirements and manage changing priorities.
* Proactively identify and resolve delivery issues before they impact customers.
* Communicate effectively with drivers, branch teams and transport colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Produce efficient daily delivery schedules and vehicle allocations.
* Plan branch transfers, stock movements and inter-branch deliveries in the most cost-effective manner.
* Assist with analysis of failed, delayed or compromised deliveries and identify corrective actions.
* Ensure transport operations are conducted in accordance with Operator Licence requirements and relevant legislation.
* Maintain accurate information across all transport systems, databases and reporting tools.
* Monitor and promote effective use of Delivery Management Systems and transport processes.
* Escalate compliance, vehicle or driver concerns appropriately.
* Support the business in maintaining high standards of safety, wellbeing and environmental performance.
** What were looking for:
*** Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination or fleet scheduling, is desirable
* Understanding of transport legislation and Operator Licence requirements, is desirable
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
