We are recruiting a Van Driver & Installation Operative for a company specialising in adjustable bed sleep systems, working from their depot based in the Chalgrove area.
This is a full-time, customer-facing role involving the delivery and installation of specialist adjustable beds in customers' homes across the South, South West and Midlands.
You will be working in a two-man team and full training will be provided. Occasional overnight trips may be required depending on routes and customer schedules (Possibly twice a month).
A satisfactory DBS check will be required. Candidates must also be comfortable driving into London.
Key responsibilities:- Safely drive a company van and complete home deliveries across the region, including London.
- Deliver adjustable beds into customer properties (including upstairs where required).
- Assemble, install and demonstrate adjustable bed operation on site.
- Maintain excellent customer service, polite, professional, punctual and tidy.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects, and complete proof of delivery via paperwork/handheld device.
- Follow safe manual handling procedures at all times.
- Proven experience delivering goods to customers homes (essential).
- Installation/assembly experience (desirable); full training provided.
- Full UK driving licence (driving licence will be required).
- Comfortable driving into London and navigating urban routes.
- Physically fit and confident with heavy/bulky items and team-based work.
- Satisfactory DBS check required.
