** Pay Rate:** £13.33 per hour
** Summary of Role
** We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our Operations team at our Letchworth Service Centre. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, handling and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and housekeeping.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in delivering quality work as part of a team.
** Responsibilities
* ** Receive, check and accurately process incoming deliveries.
* Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
* Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock checks.
* Ensure products are stored correctly within designated warehouse locations.
* Operate warehouse equipment in line with company procedures and safety standards.
* Keep the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements.
* Support the wider operations team with general warehouse duties as required..
** Skills and Knowledge
*** Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
* Good attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Basic understanding of health and safety practices within a warehouse setting.
* Ability to follow processes, procedures and instructions.
* Good communication skills.
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking approach to work.
** Desirable
* ** Experience using warehouse management systems.
* Previous stock control or inventory experience.
* Relevant warehouse or logistics qualifications.
* Forklift licence (if applicable).
