Warehouse Team Supervisor

A well established distribution business is currently recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor for its busy Belfast operation. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional ready to take the next step into a leadership role within a fast paced, customer focused environment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will help run the day to day warehouse operation, supporting and developing the team while keeping productivity, quality and service standards consistently high.

• Permanent, full time
• Rotating shifts of 6:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to 10:00pm
• 5 days from 7, including Sundays
• Belfast based

Salary

£30,000 to £32,000 plus benefits

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate daily activity across goods in, picking, packing, loading and dispatch
• Lead, motivate and support the warehouse team to hit daily productivity and performance targets
• Assist with the daily management of the operation and cover for the Operations Manager when needed
• Coach and develop team members, giving regular feedback and monitoring performance
• Track and deliver against key operational and service KPIs
• Make sure warehouse procedures, processes and documentation are completed accurately and to company standard
• Keep operational records accurate and monitor warehouse performance
• Carry out routine health and safety checks, reporting and resolving issues where needed
• Promote a positive health and safety culture across the warehouse
• Communicate effectively with colleagues across the operation to keep workflow moving
• Identify opportunities to improve process, efficiency and overall performance

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory, team leader or similar operational leadership role
• Proven ability to lead a team and hit productivity targets
• Strong organisational, administrative and problem solving skills
• Confident communicator with excellent people management skills
• Good IT skills, including Excel, Outlook and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Able to manage changing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Customer focused and performs well under pressure
• Flexible around working hours and operational requirements
• Proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
