Freelance Azure Data Engineer; Data Platform

Position: Vivid Resourcing - Freelance Azure Data Engineer (Data Platform)

For a customer in Antwerp, we are searching for 3 freelance Data Engineers to help build a modern data platform that supports data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists.

Within the Data & Analytics team, you will contribute to the development and management of a cloud-based data platform on Microsoft Azure. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that data is reliable, accessible, and usable for reporting, analytics, and AI applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform

Build data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lake solutions

Support analytics and AI applications within the data platform

Analyze and resolve technical issues

Document solutions, processes, and integrations

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners in agile projects

Help develop tools and frameworks that support data teams

Profile

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent experience.

You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role.

You have knowledge of Microsoft Azure and modern data platforms.

You have experience with Python, GIT/Git Hub, and Infrastructure as Code (Terra Form).

Experience with Databricks is a significant advantage.

Knowledge of DBT, Airflow, Linux scripting, or data warehousing is a plus.

You work independently, take initiative, and have an analytical mindset.

You communicate effectively and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team.
