The Role

We are looking for a hands-on 1st Line Logistics / Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations for a leading food & beverage company in the Flemish Brabant region.

You will be responsible for managing a team of 16–24 warehouse operatives, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality logistics processes while meeting operational KPIs. This is a people-focused leadership role that combines warehouse operations, team development, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and motivate a team of 16–24 warehouse employees.
Coordinate daily inbound, outbound, storage, and internal warehouse activities.
Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture, including safe forklift operations.
Monitor warehouse performance and implement improvements to maximise productivity and service levels.
Manage employee performance, attendance, training, and development.
Support onboarding and employee acceptance programmes for new starters.
Ensure warehouse processes are followed in line with company procedures and quality standards.
Work closely with production, planning, transport, and other internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Use SAP Warehouse Management and the company's in-house WMS to manage warehouse activities, inventory accuracy, and reporting.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or First Line Manager within a warehouse or logistics environment.
Experience managing operational teams of approximately 15–25 employees.

Experience with in the food & beverage, FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution sector is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
Good understanding of warehouse safety standards and forklift safety practices.
Experience working with SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with in-house WMS solutions is an advantage.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
