We are now looking for an experienced Senior Specialist Accounting to join our Shared Service Centre Europe. In this position you will fulfill an important role within the finance department by participating in the monthly and annual closing process and reporting for the Shared Service Centre Europe:

• General Ledger accounting and journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation
• Monthly reporting
• Local statutory reporting including Financial Statements preparation and statistical reporting
• Tax accounting and compliance
• Coordinating and/or managing external and internal (tax) audits
• Fixed asset accounting
• Act as local Finance representative
• Participation in projects and other duties on an ad hoc basis

• Bachelor’s degree in economics or alternatively a relevant education in accounting or tax accounting and at least 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally in an international industrial company
• Knowledge of the Belgium tax legislation
• Very good Excel skills and preferably experience with Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations in the cloud
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Well organized and detail oriented, ability to complete tasks accurately under strict deadlines
• Cooperative and pro-active attitude
• Fluent written and spoken English and Dutch language skills
