This is a permanent, full-time daytime role, working Monday to Friday, with flexibility required during peak periods and offers an annual salary up to £29,500.00, depending on skills and experience.
Tasks and responsibilities:Responsible for supporting the Transport Manager in providing a first-class client service by ensuring all vehicles arrive and depart on time, and that all administrative and support activities are completed accurately.
- Update daily dock plan and monitor vehicle movements
- Review forecasts to ensure capacity
- Liaise with carriers and resolve issues
- Coordinate between warehouse and customer service teams
- Plan UK/EU loads cost-efficiently
- Ensure compliance with transport procedures
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry
- Comfortable working in both warehouse and office environments
- Adaptable with a hands-on approach to tasks
- Good geographical knowledge for route planning - preferred but not mandatory
- Experience in logistics and/or transport – preferred but not mandatory
