Join our team in Brussels and start a new adventure in an international and dynamic environment, where you will be able to fulfil your career expectations in a fast-growing organization. You’ve got the chance to work within our Engineering team, driving innovation and supporting organisations in their digital and industrial transformation. In this strategic role, you will design, implement, and support advanced automation solutions to ensure efficiency, reliability, and scalability within large-scale supply chain operations.
MissionOverview
Our Client is undergoing a major transformation in its warehouse operations. As part of this transition, a supplier will take full responsibility for fixed automation systems implementation (e.g., conveyors, sorting systems, and other mechanised equipment – no AGVs involved).
We are seeking an experienced Mechanization & Automation Advisor/Coordinator to act as a technical and operational consultant, supporting the supplier throughout the project lifecycle. The advisor will provide expert guidance on mechanisation processes, team set‑up, maintenance planning, and operational readiness
, ensuring smooth integration and long‑term efficiency of the automated systems.
This is a hands‑on advisory role
, not a direct management or engineering execution role. The consultant will challenge, advise, and support the supplier in best practices related to mechanised logistics environments.

- Provide expertise support on design, commissioning, service and maintenance of fixed automation systems (conveyors, diverters, accumulation lanes, etc.).
- Support the development and implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance plans
. - Guide the supplier in contract management related to automation vendors and service providers.
- Participate in go‑live activities on‑site
, ensuring operational readiness and troubleshooting. - Share best practices in installation or mechanisation projects (if applicable).
- Act as a bridge between the client’s expectations and the supplier’s execution, ensuring alignment on performance, reliability and sustainability of the automated solution.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mechanised or automated logistics environments (warehouse, distribution centre, production line).
- Strong understanding of how mechanised systems work (conveyors, sorters, fixed automation) – operational knowledge preferred over pure technical engineering.
- Experience in setting up teams and processes around automation/maintenance (method/process engineering mindset).
- Solid knowledge of maintenance planning and execution (preventive, predictive, corrective).
- Fluent in English
, good command of Dutch is a strong advantage. - Available for on‑site presence
, especially during critical phases (e.g., go‑live).
- Technical background (e.g., industrial maintenance, electromechanics, process engineering).
- Professional experience in building or commissioning a production or logistics line
. - Experience working in retail/freezer food logistics.
- An international community, bringing together 110+ different nationalities.
- An environment where trust has a central place: 70 % of our key leaders started their careers at the first level of responsibilities.
- A robust training system with our internal Academy and 250+ available modules.
- A vibrant workplace that frequently gathers for internal events (after works, team building, etc.).
- Strong commitments to CSR, notably through participation in our WeCare Together programme.
