Daikin Europe N.V. is a leading heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration manufacturer. Within the EMEA headquarter, the Digital Business Development department supports the different sales SBUs within Daikin by creating digital platforms to facilitate both end users and professionals to come in contact with Daikin. This department also creates B2B2C software tools that help finding the best suited Daikin product solution.

In view of further extending our platforms & tools, we are looking to reinforce the team with a digital engineer.

Your function

As digital engineer, you will be involved in creating digital tools, as of initial conception, planning, coordination, testing till roll out & support. You support the responsible for the app used by installers to execute the service on our Daikin installations. You are responsible for some online tools used by installer to look for technical information on our units.

• Identify the tool requirements together with the several stakeholders, with a clear focus on customer experience.
• Acquire in depth technical knowledge on the Daikin products involved and the logic to be applied.
• Brief external software companies that will develop these tools for us.
• Follow up & report on the development plan & keep track of budget.
• Prepare & execute test procedures.
• Create training & promotion materials.
• Coordinate the roll out of the tools.
• Define, follow-up and report on the usage of the tools.
• Maintain regular contact with a select group of key users across our sales network.
• Give tool support.
• Continuously improve.

• Master in engineering, with a interest in software & database development, IT and computer science or bachelor degree equivalent by experience in related fields.
• You have some basic knowledge on physics (thermodynamics, heat load & capacity calculations).
• Being passionate about energy & Building Information Modelling is a definite plus.
• You have good communication skill and are a team player, but you can also work independently.
• You share our passion for high-quality, customer value and you are continuously looking for improvements.
• You can design concepts/ideas and drive them into realization. You are a pilot, not a passenger.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English is a must.
• You are OK with short stays abroad.
