Location: Town of Belgium
We are seeking a Construction Plant & Equipment Engineer to join a growing operations team managing a large and diverse fleet of construction equipment.
You will support national projects while also providing occasional support on project sites abroad
. The role ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable use of capital machinery across all projects.
- Plan and coordinate the mobilisation and demobilisation of heavy equipment across project sites.
- Provide technical and operational support to site teams and methods engineers for equipment-related challenges.
- Track and manage the equipment fleet: perform technical follow‑up, administrative monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance strategies, ensuring high availability and reliability of machines.
- Coordinate inspections, repairs, and servicing with internal teams, subcontractors, and external vendors.
- Conduct occasional visits to project sites abroad to assess equipment conditions and support operations.
- Liaise with planning, procurement, and project management functions to align equipment needs with project timelines.
- Report on equipment utilisation, costs, downtime, and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives: propose upgrades, optimisations, and cost‑saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all equipment activities.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electro‑mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–8 years of experience in plant & equipment engineering, fleet operations, or equipment maintenance within construction / civil works.
- Strong technical understanding of heavy construction machinery, engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning, asset lifecycle management, and repair coordination.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination skills.
- Strong communication skills — able to work with operational teams, external vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Flexible and willing to make occasional visits to international project sites
