• You are a member of a multidisciplinary research group working on Digital Twins for Smart Manufacturing Systems at KU Leuven under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Lugaresi and Prof. Jef Peeters.
• You study and critically evaluate existing literature, patents, company releases, and use the obtained information to determine the state of the art and to identify opportunities for novel contributions.
• You are actively engaged in the development of innovative methods and algorithms to be integrated in a digital‑twin architecture for (de) manufacturing systems.
• You contribute to organising and performing testing and validation experiments within the laboratory setups available at KU Leuven.
• You disseminate your research results at project meetings and international conferences.
• You publish in high‑quality international scientific journals.

• You hold a Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or an equivalent degree with a high GPA.
• You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team of international researchers and show willingness to learn and explore innovative technologies and techniques.
• You have a creative mindset, enjoy taking initiative, and engage in exploring innovative ideas and new opportunities.
• You are fluent in English.
